The Elwood City Council met in a special meeting on Monday, Oct. 13, to hear additional details on a proposed $5.1 million Municipal Building renovation project and to solicit input from the public.

Now through July 4, 2026, there will be several events planned on the county, state and national levels. The Elwood Heritage Center and Museum will also be planning events and creating a book of memories. Currently our window display reflects the birthdays of our country’s United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps. The Navy celebrates 250 years in October. The Marine Corps celebrates 250 years in November.
